It used to be always reliable in the 2xl but it fails/gives up significantly more on the 3xl. All the lessons they've learned from the Previous Pixels, Pixel 3XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 4XL will definitely be apparently clear on the Pixel 5 XL. After awhile you get used to the ugly notch that I barely notice it's ugliness any more. Or will you pay $350 and then be competing against everyone else trying to sell their Pixel 4a the minute Google reveals their Pixel 5? I'm not looking for value or "it's a better Google Assistant" none of that impresses me when some dude in XDA-Developers site can simply port those kinds of things for everyone's devices.
