Home improvements Under the Green Homes Grant scheme, homeowners and landlords will be able to access funding to upgrade the energy efficiency of their homes. To qualify for one of these grants, you have to show what home improvements are necessary and that you can't afford to pay for the home improvements. The grant will cover at least two-thirds of the costs of home energy improvements up to a cap of £5,000 per household, with homeowners and landlords paying the remainder of the costs.
If you are doing this, you can also get vouchers to help pay for draught proofing, double or triple glazing, secondary glazing, energy efficient doors and heating controls. People will be able to apply for the vouchers once the scheme is finalised and up and running in September.
