In Resolume, under sources, select the NDI server that corresponds to the output of OBS. This is by no means comprehensive list, but the workflow for other platforms will be similar to these. The Resolume part is now done. First, you need a system that can switch between the camera and the worship software. OBS NDI plugin, plus NDI runtime, plus NDISyhon, plus CamTwist. (i mean i know its designed for broadcasting, not private calls).. but other than this hiccup and trying to force this non-designed-for use, its the best tool for layouts I know of.. Download and install the virtual input and run the Virtual Input application. All features are fully supported on macOS 10.11 – 10.15.x, including macOS Catalina. Of course, any layer could be selected and sent out via Syphon. macOS 11.0 Big Sur is not yet supported. Pro Tip 1: You can set up scenes in OBS.
For both receiving and publishing, on the left side of the interface is a list of available sources, NDI® on top and Syphon on the bottom.
Syphon, Spout and NDI outputs can be treated like a separate physical screen.

Sure, they're a lot more money than just holding up a smartphone, but if you want to go to the next level and add in multiple cameras or just the output of the worship software, it's a great choice. Check to see if yours does, either natively or with an add-on because this tends to have the fewest problems. Keep all of the audio sources in separate channels for leveling and other independent audio processing. Getting close enough to the action without sacrificing image quality can be difficult, especially if your leaders won't let you get close enough to account for the limitations of the lens in a mobile device. I kept digging and found "camtwist" but that also relies on syphon. OBS seemed to be the best solution BUT, unfortunately I've come to find that Mac OS (since mojave) stopped allowing something called "Syphon" that allowed for OBS output to be a "virtual camera". For example, the SDI module in ProPresenter 6 can output NDI. The lower right square showing something green is VDMX’s output. I just keep hitting a wall on getting this to work. All the heavy lifting is done on your mac like you'd prefer, you're just interfacing with the last step on the lappy.
They're doing some work to make sure the output signal is at least as strong as the input, not half of it.
The easiest way to do it is if your worship/presentation software is NDI aware. To send your Resolume composition output to OBS you will have to activate NDI in Resolume. To get NDI working in OBS you will need the NDI plugin.
Don't look that up if you're at work. Now press ALT and drag the bounding box to crop the input. Avoid being disturbed by muting applications while they are recorded.
Sure you could awkwardly frame a shot or quickly pan over to a screen, but neither of those are solutions like capturing the output of your worship presentation software and showing that instead of a video of it on the screen. But I'd like to take it further and have a few scene options for seeing the timeline/bins open and whatnot, even an extra webcam of ME so its more personal while we work. : Send data as a higher quality / higher bandwidth RGB stream. To get the best results with NDI® it is strongly recommended to connect devices over a network using gigabit ethernet or similar high speed connections.
Some Mac worship software has the ability to output a signal via Syphon. In OBS add a Browser source and paste in your URL. Live chat support included with your Prime subscription.
I cannot wait for projectors to take advantage of this tech.
To stream the Resolume interface we recommend using the Display Capture source in OBS Studio.
MacOS, for example, can duplicate two of three displays, but doing so puts additional strain on the computer. In an earlier article, I talked about the different types of keys you'd use to superimpose worship software onto a video source. If the Browser source isn’t working for your needs you can always create a Window Capture source instead, but that’s more fiddly.

Include microphones and other audio inputs.
I kept digging and found "camtwist" but that also relies on syphon. In scene 1 you can have a screen capture of Resolume and in scene 2 your NDI input. Any program that is sending its output will show up under the sources tab. NDI has solved so many capture issues, but there are still some bugs to be worked out of Wirecast when you are also outputting to a CDN and hardware at the same time. If NDI scan converter doesn't meet your needs, it's possible that you might have another option, as well. When selecting Service you can click on “Show All…” to reveal other services like Vimeo and ... Chaturbate?
Make sure your conference software is not running yet. Syphon and Spout input are always enabled in Resolume. Podcasting Use Sound Siphon to send your Microphone and Mac’s audio to your remote guests. Setting up Syphon in Resolume is exactly the same as NDI.
To send the Resolume output to OBS we'll use NDI (Network Device Interface). So, if you're using a video switcher, it could be as simple as plugging a camera into one input and one of the outputs of your D.A.
First, let's look at the video switcher solution, since in some ways, that's the easiest problem to solve.
Make sure to check the “Control audio via OBS”-checkbox. You'll be glad you did, and so will your online congregation. This is an OSX utility that uses Scripting Additions or mach_inject, mach_override and JRSwizzle to insert a Syphon server into a running process.
