I would have made Jamie an actual person and the gunman instead of that random guy. Mia has a split personality but I wanted to see that storyline developed a lot more. Because of this, parents and teachers are afraid of him, and his fellow students generally avoid him, except for a group of outcasts called the "Trogs".

Welcome back. It is very fast paced and i don't know about anyone else, but i certainly did not see it going where it did. This gritty, hard-hitting drama offers an authentic glimpse inside the post-Columbine high schools of America and the forces that can compel a teen to violence. Bree serves only to express a bit of concern over Mia, she never becomes her own character. I also felt that the secondary characters were underdeveloped. A well written and at times quite tense little thriller, with a very surprising twist near the end. Mia, on the other hand, is shy and non-confrontational. I did like how the author had every other chapter as a flashback. The ending was trash. A person killing someone because they were being stuffed into a trash can. It all comes to a head as some other students create a plan to bring guns to school and kill everyone in the cafeteria. I really felt for Mia and was worrying about Jamie right along with her, but then the ending went in a direction that I wasn't expecting and I wasn't sure what to think. The author drops a bombshell on us and then leaves us hanging.
