The other option is a cable splitter if you are wired, doesn’t work for me because I have a wireless headset.
I'm a relatively new a40 owner, but the one experience (few days) I did have a problem with party chat was when I used a USB cord that did not come with the Mixamp TR. Maybe you're experiencing wear and tear of your USB, or other cords?

Hey dude, the best(simplest) way to accomplish this is by downloading the Xbox App on windows, create another Xbox live account(free) and then join the party of the account that you are streaming from. I know there’s a stream port on the back of the mixamp that could potentially carry game and voice chat audio to OBS, but I can’t get it to work unless the mixamp is in PC mode, and then the headset doesn’t work properly with party chat on xbox. I also run an external USB mic into OBS to capture my voice. News, clips, discussions, developer interaction, and more!

Similar to the issue I saw reported with the Astro A40's connected to the Stereo Headset Adapter my mic does not seem to be working for Party Chat.

I believe I noticed a pattern recently where whenever I download content to my Xbox One harddrive that the party chat cuts out. I then went and found the original cord that came with the Mixamp; problem solved for me.
