Assessor organisations may work independently, contract with or be part of a Green Deal provider organisation. Register with the Green Deal ORB Your UKAS accredited certification body will register you with the Green Deal Oversight and Registration Body (ORB) once you are certified.

If … How the Green Deal will reflect the in-situ performance of energy efficiency measures sets out DECC’s approach for increasing confidence and consumer protection around the energy savings that can be achieved from installing energy efficiency measures used for calculating Green Deal finance. The government has appointed a Green Deal Oversight and Registration Body. Part of their role is to register the organisations that are approved to deliver the Green Deal – Advisors, Providers and Installers. The scheme appears to be a more straightforward version of the Green Deal, which also offered grants to cover the cost of energy efficiency measures, but required a Green Deal Advisor or Assessor to carry out a Green Deal assessment on the property. They will also license you to use the Green Deal Quality Mark. You will recieve continuing support from the Green Deal Provider throughout the life of the Green Deal plan. With the European Climate Law the Commission proposes a legally binding target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. As well as complying with these conditions, you must also keep clear records of work done and allow monitoring of installation work as and when requested. Once the certification body has obtained accreditation, it registers with the Green Deal Oversight and Registration Body and can certify assessor organisations that employ Green Deal advisors, who may be sole traders or larger companies.
